The research of yeast bionic micro-nano biorobot for the treatment of inflammatory diseases is a cutting-edge technology. It can use yeast microcapsule as an active material to adaptively switch biological enzyme engine and macrophage engine, penetrate multiple physiological barriers, and accurately deliver drugs to remote inflammatory sites. The yeast micro-nano biological robot, called TBY-robot, can achieve the treatment of gastrointestinal inflammation and other inflammation-related diseases by using the glucose concentration gradient in the gut and the inflammatory chemotaxis of macrophages. The technique has been validated in animal models and has a good safety and efficacy.
