Under the conditions of CS2 stimulation, Cou-Br can rapidly respond to the fluctuations of intracellular GSH caused by oxidative damage. Furthermore, the in situ and in vivo bioimaging performance of Cou-Br were demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, relying on different GSH cell concentrations, the probe can be successfully used to identify human laryngeal cancer lesions with deep tissue imaging and tumor edge recognition capabilities. In summary, designing synthetic Cou-Br probes may potentially clinically provide powerful chemical tools for the surgical operation of cancer.
